Safeguarding

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Clare Smith. If you have any concerns please email her at dsl@claremont.kent.sch.uk

At Claremont, we ensure that your child's safety and wellbeing is a high priority. It is our aim that children and adults always have someone they are able to talk to if they have any worries or concerns. You can also talk to our two deputy DSLs, Mrs Candi Roberts and Mrs Sarah Seddon.

Are you concerned about a pupil? To contact the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Mrs Clare Smith, please email dsl@claremont.kent.sch.uk
Local support is also available from The Education Safeguarding Service. You can contact the Area Safeguarding Advisor for Tunbridge Wells on 03000 423 158.  If a child may be at risk of imminent harm, you should call the Integrated Front Door on 03000 411 111 or the police on 999.

Volunteering in School

As part of our safeguarding procedures, parents who volunteer to change books or read to children in school have to attend a volunteers' meeting, provide two references, read a number of documents and sign a Memorandum of Understanding before they can commence helping out in school. Please go to the Helping in School page for detailed information.
